Empowering Girls: Celebrating Diversity on International Women’s Day

Our “Women Peace Council ” in Sarsink part of our project “Strengthening the Capacity of Young Women for Meaningful Participation in Decision Making in their Communities” with support of @Cordaid restored a street with beautiful touches in a spot that people from the area and tourists regularly visit, in order to have a better environment and be a more comfortable place.

we are happy to start (Family Case Management and Counseling) as a piloting activity within our project with SOS “Enhancing Safe Environment in Families from Host Community in Duhok City ” and in collaboration with Directorate of Social centers within general directorate of care and social development in Duhok. We have just finished the first important step of the activity which was 12 days TOT training to the Directorate and BWO staff. Special thanks goes to Professors Dr. Chachan and the continuous support of Mr Khalid the Director of the Directorate. Together we are planing strategic plan for this activity.

Better World Organization in Kapartu 1 camp celebrated the International Day of People with special needs , The celebration included a number of intertainment activities, some motivational speeches and showing skills of some participants with special needs in addition to distributing simple gifts on them.

It was an honor to receive a visit in our Better World office from UK General Consulate in Erbil ( represented by her excellency the General Counsel Rosy Cave, Head of Politcal Ella Hallums, and Political Officer Hanar Marouf. We had great discussion about Better World organization, the journey we went through, and our achievements so far.
