On 30th July Better World Organization in coordination with Directorate of Youth in Duhok in the occasion of its project end under the title of “Strengthening the Capacity of Young Women for Meaningful Participation in Decision Making in their Communities” under Women Voice First Project with @Cordaidiraq conducted a closing event under the name “ Supporting Young Women Meaningful Participation in Decision Making and Peace Building”
The event presented the result of the project and conduct a panel discussion where stakeholders were invited to discuss how they can better support meaningful participation of young women focusing on UNSCR 1325 women, peace and security.

The Speech of our Founder and Director “Walaa M. Ahmed” in One Young World Summit 2023 in Belfast, Northern Ireland
Ms. Ahmed was selected to present a speech in the peace and reconciliation session, where she shared her story about the initiative she created to support vulnerable communities, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees. Walaa also discussed the ISIS war in Sinjar and how her hometown of Duhok became a safe home to over a million IDPs.

Better World Organization Operational Manager Participation in the international training forum on the financial sustainability of non-profit organizations, which was held in Istanbul by the American Indiana University Lilly family school of Philanthropy.
Better World Organization Operational Manager Participation in the international training forum on the financial sustainability of non-profit organizations, which was held in Istanbul by the American Indiana University Lilly family school of Philanthropy.
The purpose of the training was to rehabilitate and develop financial resources in the third sector (non- profit sector), through an intensive training program for a period of 10 days, with the participation of 100 person representing more than 50 NGOs from different countries of the world.
During the training , the most important contemporary methods of collecting donations for charitable organizations were presented and how to achieve financial sustainability. The training also contributed to the participants getting acquainted with other NGOs from different countries and learning about their strategies for fundraising.
Family Case Management and Counseling Training of Trainers
we are happy to start (Family Case Management and Counseling) as a piloting activity within our project with SOS “Enhancing Safe Environment in Families from Host Community in Duhok City ” and in collaboration with Directorate of Social centers within general directorate of care and social development in Duhok. We have just finished the first important step of the activity which was 12 days TOT training to the Directorate and BWO staff. Special thanks goes to Professors Dr. Chachan and the continuous support of Mr Khalid the Director of the Directorate. Together we are planing strategic plan for this activity.
