UK General Council in Erbil visit to Better World Office in Duhok
It was an honor to receive a visit in our Better World office from UK General Consulate in Erbil ( represented by her excellency the General Counsel Rosy Cave, Head of Politcal Ella Hallums, and Political Officer Hanar Marouf. The Speech of our Founder and Director “Walaa M. Ahmed” in One Young World Summit 2023 in Belfast, Northern Ireland
Ms. Ahmed was selected to present a speech in the peace and reconciliation session, where she shared her story about the initiative she created to support vulnerable communities, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees. Walaa also discussed the ISIS war in Sinjar and how her hometown of Duhok became a safe home to over a million IDPs.
Family Case Management and Counseling Training of Trainers
we are happy to start (Family Case Management and Counseling) as a piloting activity within our project with SOS “Enhancing Safe Environment in Families from Host Community in Duhok City ” and in collaboration with Directorate of Social centers within general directorate of care and social development in Duhok. We have just finished the first important step of the activity which was 12 days TOT training to the Directorate and BWO staff. Special thanks goes to Professors Dr. Chachan and the continuous support of Mr Khalid the Director of the Directorate. Together we are planing strategic plan for this activity.
